Unwelcome News
Today was another day where I felt a little “off,” not exactly sick, but not at my best either. I had plenty to do around the house this morning, and then I took off to visit my friend Anna and see if I could help her with her tablet. Alas, we failed to get it to connect to the internet. It tried, but kept rejecting the connection and I have no idea why. I had a little more success helping her figure out a vintage sewing machine that she has. It reminded me of the one my mom had back in the 1960s.
The afternoon was pretty much a write-off. I got some reading done. Reading for pleasure feels like such a luxury and I am savoring this book.
We had supper a little early as Jasper has a Bible study on Tuesday nights. And then we heard from our daughter Lina that she hit a deer while driving to an event this evening. The car looks pretty bad, but she is unhurt. I sure hope the car is fixable, and I am so glad Lina wasn’t injured.

I meant to post this on Saturday night—the Zambian flag lit by the setting sun as we settled down to our feast.
