Gearing Up
Today is our last day at home for a week. So Walter mowed the yard and did a bunch of other chores. I boiled eggs and did my Bible reading and made egg salad and no-bake cookies and got all my pills portioned out for the coming week and got all our road trip food and tea-making supplies sorted.
I also got a roast started in the slow cooker and did some knitting while catching up on some news online. And also got a critique passage ready and started working on a write-up of my health journey for a friend.
The Annas both came for supper and it was the last time we’ll see Cianna for a month, as she leaves for India on Tuesday while we are out of town. Since they don’t have homework, they could stay to watch a movie, so we introduced them to Holes. They enjoyed it. And while watching it, I finished the dishcloth that I’d started this afternoon:
I’m not taking knitting on this trip. I am pretty nervous about it. Sitting in classes for three days with a bunch of strangers is not my idea of a good time. I’m sure I’ll be fine once we get there, but they have sent us just about zero information about what to expect. Just an address and an expectation that we’ll show up tomorrow by 6:00 p.m. So we’d appreciate prayers for safe travels.
Joy Spark: I received an email today from someone who wanted to be added to our mailing list. Which brought our total to 200! And if you’re not on our mailing list, and would like to be, please let me know.
Parting Shot:
I worry that the flame lilies will be well past their prime by the time we return.
